It will be exciting to see how 2013 stacks up for real estate because the basis for comparison will be 2012 a stronger year than 2011. When we compare the sales results for January 2013 real estate compared to January 2012 we see that sales are up a whooping 309%. Pending sales are however down a mere 5.2% when compared to the current month report compared to one year ago.
The sold properties in Methow Valley real estate for January 2013 when compared to previous month (December 2012) are up 200.7% but pending sales for this category are up by only 4.5%.
Comparing this quarter to this same quarter one full year ago for the sold and pending properties we see the sold group is up 50.7% and the pending is down a small amount by 1.1%.

The Methow Valley real estate sales report for November 2012. We see a flat line for sold to list price comparison up in the 90 percentile and holding which would logically indicate a stronger real estate market than past quarters. We do have a decrease in the sold properties and an increase in pending sales when we compare this month to last year this month.. There is an increase in inventory based on sales which corresponds to a slow down in sales for November 2012 when compared to sales of Methow Valley in 2011.
The trend is our friend and here in beautiful Methow Valley as across the nation real estate sales are up up up compared to last year overall. It will be interesting to see what the report shows for next month! Stay tuned for the year in review.
